Karen brings to Terrapin extensive knowledge of the legal industry. She worked nine years at Downey Brand, where she was an information services specialist, trainer, help desk analyst and legal secretary. Karen also worked for Baker Cadence Solutions as a client support specialist. She began her career in administrative roles at law firms (starting in junior high) and later transitioned into information technology when the IT director at a law firm recognized her superior people skills, extensive end-user experience and legal software expertise. Over her career, Karen has built a reputation for strong technical abilities, friendly service and organization. In her free time, she loves hiking, fostering dogs, and volunteering at Front Street Animal Shelter and Pawsitive Impact. She serves on Pawsitive Impact’s board of directors and is currently writing a book about her fostering experience.
